Frequently Asked Questions

HOW CAN I DONATE?

There will be a link to a donation site found under the donation tab at the top of this page.  Also keep an eye out for announcements via our facebook page.

WHERE DOES THE MONEY GO?

Each year the committee gathers to determine the recipients for the Mini Golf Masters.  Regardless of the charity / family / scholarship that is chosen, 100% of all proceeds are donated. This year, we are donating to Sarah's House of Maine and Penquis Valley Athletics.

CAN I PLAY?

Every year the field is chosen by the committee.  If you wish to participate, please follow us on facebook for access to the participant form or email us at maineminigolfmasters@gmail.com with your name and why you want to participate this year.  Invitations will be sent out prior to the event.  All are welcome, but please email us first as we must have a numbers count for courses we attend.

WHY IS THERE AN ENTRY FEE?

We like to have an entry fee because they make up the majority of our donations to the charity of choice.  We receive some outside donations, but 100% of the entry fee money is donated to the charity of choice for that given year.

HOW MUCH MONEY HAS THIS EVENT DONATED IN THE PAST?

Over the past two years, this event has raised close to $5,000.  This may not seem like a lot, but for a small community, this is HUGE.  We hope to continue expanding the event and increasing our goals each year.

WHAT CHARITIES HAS THIS EVENT DONATED TO IN THE PAST?

The 4th annual event raised close to $2000 for a middle school boy named Zak Mills.  Zak was diagnosed with osteosarcoma, a type of bone cancer, in 2015.  All of the proceeds from the event went towards Zak's medical bills. The 5th annual event raised $2700.  Half of the money was donated to the Maine Make-A-Wish foundation while the other half contributed to scholarships at 4 area high schools.
